DIY: cereal box art station

My daughter's art supplies have been a source of contention between me and my very organized husband.  Seems they are all over the house.  Of course they're mostly resting on tops of book cases, shelves, and generally anywhere there is space that is out of her reach.  Why can't we just keep everything in one area?

Today I decided enough was enough and built an art station to house her markers, stickers, and papers.

DIY: fun with contact paper and a diaper box

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have a habit of collecting boxes.  Why not just get baskets?  Baskets are durable and they probably last longer.  It's mostly because I am trying to use what I already have.  It's my way of being green, I suppose.  Plus I should mention I have a two year old who likes to tear things apart.  It's not such a big deal if this box gets dinged and dented.  

DIY: macaroni gift box

Nothing drives my husband crazier than when I demand he save a box so I can use it 'for a project'.  I currently have twelve macaroni boxes hanging out in my 'craft closet' for exciting upcycles!  

Today I'm going to transform one of them into a gift box for those tall, awkward shaped gifts.  Watercolor paints?  Paintbrushes?  Who knows.  I'll find a use for it soon, I'm sure.
